As this year's campaign draws to a close, political opponents of former President Donald Trump have increasingly alleged that he is an emotionally unstable figure.

However, one woman who spent a year working for Trump publicly denounced those claims in a recent interview.

"He just stands in the gap against all odds"

According to Breitbart, Kendra Todd was a successful contestant on season three of NBC's "The Apprentice," and she recalled her time with the former president while speaking with "Breitbart News Daily."

Todd was quick to deny allegations that Trump is "erratic" and instead characterized the Republican nominee as being a "kind" figure.

“I mean, he's tough," Todd said of Trump. "He's like Teflon. I mean, clearly he has to be. I can look at how he’s been attacked from literally every angle."

"He's just tough. He just stands in the gap against all odds, even if he has to do so alone. And, I mean, I have lots of experiences," she continued.

"He's not an angry orange man with his finger on the button"

"I've seen him, you know, on the golf course managing, you know, that enterprise at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. I mean, I’ve seen him in a variety of different settings, had tons of interaction with him," Todd insisted.

"You know, he’s not an angry orange man with his finger on the button with the …  nuclear code. I don’t need to tell anybody this," a one-time television contestant stressed.

"You know, we had him in office for four years, and none of that happened. And frankly, we lived in a much safer world," she pointed out.

Breitbart observed that Todd wasn't the only ex-employee of Trump who came to his defense this week, as former White House press secretary Sean Spicer did as well.

Spicer says Trump trusted "enlisted folks" over "more senior people"

During his interview with Todd, "Breitbart News Daily" host Mike Slater played a clip of Spicer speaking with podcast host Megyn Kelly.

The former White House press secretary suggested that part of the animosity directed towards Trump comes from his unwillingness to placate those in Washington with "big egos."

"We were talking about Afghanistan policy one day, and he said, I want ten enlisted soldiers to come in that have served in Afghanistan," Spicer explained.

"And it p---ed a lot of people off that he wasn't taking the advice of the more senior people and asking the actual enlisted folks," Spicer added.
