According to a new report, producers of Jason Aldean's "Try That in a Small Town" music video have removed archival footage of Black Lives Matter protesters after Fox threatened legal action.

The footage in question is a brief series of segments from Fox 5 Atlanta depicting BLM protesters engaging in violent street demonstrations, according to TMZ, as Breitbart News reported.

According to TMZ's sources, the video's creators contacted Fox in May and requested permission to use the six seconds of news footage.

The Network's Push

Fox reportedly requested additional information, specifically the song's lyrics. However, the production company sent Fox a link to the song rather than a written copy of the lyrics.

Fox contacted the production company a week ago and asked them to remove the footage to avoid legal action, and the production company complied, according to TMZ. The request was characterized by sources as a "polite ultimatum."

The re-edited music video for "Try That in a Small Town" replaces BLM protest footage projected on the front of a courthouse with images of Aldean performing the song.

On social media, however, the older version of the video can still be found.

As reported by Breitbart News, "Try That in a Small Town" has infuriated progressives and corporate journalists who have attempted to censor the song for its depiction of the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots and the rise in crime in major cities.

The music video was removed from CMT, which is owned by Paramount, in response to pressure from left-wing activists. As with other Hollywood studios, Paramount supported the BLM radicals who ravaged American cities.

Aldean's Response

The singer has responded to the backlash he's received for his song "Try That In A Small Town" as CMT pulled it from its rotation early last week.

"In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests," he wrote in his statement.

"There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it -- and there isn't a single video clip that isn't real news footage -- and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music, this one goes too far," Aldean continued.

"As so many pointed out, I was present at Route 91-where so many lost their lives and our community recently suffered another heartbreaking tragedy," he wrote, referring to the 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas. "NO ONE, including me, wants to continue to see senseless headlines or families ripped apart."
