Famous climate alarmist Greta Thunberg was fined by police in Sweden for blocking traffic.

Thunberg was fined $144 for disobeying police orders during a protest that stopped oil tankers in Malmo last month.

This isn't Thunberg's first encounter with the police, but it is the first time she has received any kind of legal sanction for her activism.

Greta Thunberg fined

Thunberg appeared to relish the attention during her arrest in Sweden, smirking as police carried her away. Following the arrest, she immediately returned to protesting disruptively.

Thunberg told the court the disruption was necessary so that she could virtue signal about climate change, saying it's true that she "received an order that I didn't listen to, but I want to deny the crime."

"My actions are justifiable," she was quoted as saying. "I believe that we are in an emergency that threatens life, health and property. Countless people and communities are at risk both in the short term and in the long term."

The protest, which lasted days, was organized by a group called Reclaim the Future - which echoed Thunberg's claim that disruption to society is necessary to save the world from the weather.

"If the court chooses to see our action as a crime it may do so, but we know we have the right to live and the fossil fuels industry stands in the way of that," the group said.

Astroturfed media campaign

Climate activists have grabbed headlines throughout the U.S. and Europe for their disruptive and barbaric methods, which include desecrating great works of art.

While Thunberg could have been jailed for six months, prosecutor Charlotte Ottosen said charges for disobeying police typically lead to fines only.

In 2019, Thunberg came to attention over her petulant admonition to the world - "how dare you!" - over its failure to abandon fossil fuels. The 2o-year-old has yet to grow out of her narcissism, it seems, as she continues to lecture world leaders and now, courts of law about the so-called climate apocalypse.

Police in Germany had previously denied that Thunberg's arrest there was staged, with many seeing Thunberg as part of a contrived, elite-driven PR campaign.

It appears certain the climate fanatics in the globalist media will play up this latest controversy to win sympathy for Thunberg's cause.
