Growing number of voices say Michelle Obama will run for president

According to a survey published by ABC News and the Washington Post, President Joe Biden is trailing former President Donald Trump by 10 points.

What's more, a polling aggregate put out by RealClearPolitics appears to confirm that Biden is on a downward spiral. This has some observers suggesting that Michelle Obama will replace him as next year's nominee.

"I'm just hearing this from everywhere"

One of them is Fox Business host Larry Kudlow who addressed the issue on air this week. "I'm hearing so much talk about Michelle Obama. I don't know if you all are hearing it the same way," the left-wing website Media Matters quoted him as saying.

"People are saying, you know, get to the Democratic convention, Joe Biden is going to, quote, 'have to withdraw for health reasons,' and by acclimation, they're going to bring in Michelle Obama, and the Obama machinery is already gearing up for it," Kudlow continued.

"I'm not predicting, I'm just saying," the Fox Business host and former Trump administration official said before adding, "I'm just hearing this from everywhere."

Kudlow is far from being alone in saying that the former first lady could end up at the top of the Democratic Party's ticket, as former Alaska Republican Gov. Sarah Palin recently offered a similar assessment.

Ted Cruz says an Obama candidacy would be "dangerous" for Republicans

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz made a similar prediction last week during an episode of his podcast "Verdict with Ted Cruz."

"Here's the scenario that I think is perhaps the most likely and most dangerous," Cruz told his listeners. "In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers [will] jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama."

"I view this as a very serious danger," Cruz stressed, adding, "Michelle Obama because she was the first lady has the ability to parachute in above all four and say, 'Hey, we're not picking among any of you.'"

Mrs. Obama has repeatedly denied wanting to run

"You guys can all fight it out next time, you're all on the same level. We're coming. This is the Obamas coming in and saving the day," he explained.

"And I think in terms of a solution that unifies Democrats, there ain't nothing like that," the Republican lawmaker went on to declare.

Meanwhile, The Hill pointed out in an article published on Monday that Mrs. Obama has repeatedly denied having any interest in running for public office.
