Interaction between Trump and Obama at Jimmy Carter's funeral goes viral
Barack Obama is one of the most iconic Democrats in American history.
That's why liberals appear to be up in arms over a recent video that shows Donald Trump and Barack Obama being "chummy" at the funeral of President Jimmy Carter.
If you ask liberals in America, they think that Donald Trump is a truly evil man who no liberal should EVER associate with.
Unfortunately for them, that's not what happened.
The funeral
It was a sad day for America. We hadn't had a president pass away since 2018 when George H. W. Bush passed away. Before that, it hadn't happened since 2006 when Gerald Ford died.
The funeral brought together all five living American presidents and marked a National Day of Mourning to honor Jimmy Carter's legacy. Not only was Carter being remembered as a president, but as a humanitarian.
Despite the heavy nature of the day, many people on the internet decided to focus on the surprising interaction we witnessed between Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
During Jimmy Carter's funeral, President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump were seated next to each other in the second row. Reports indicate that "the unlikely duo were caught chuckling and chatting while the rest of the attendees filed into the Woodley Park church, among them former President George W. Bush, former President Bill Clinton and President Biden."
Media explosion
For years, we've been told that Barack Obama and Donald Trump should be and are mortal enemies, so it was a shock to many Americans to see the two getting along.
"I would pay a lot of money to hear this conversation," one social media user said.
"Trump and Obama sitting next to each other was not on the 2025 bingo card," another social media post reads.
OutKick founder Clay Travis joked, "Did Obama vote for Trump too?" referencing the idea that Jill Biden has worn red since the election to represent that she cast a ballot for the Republican candidate.
Barack Obama wasn't the only Obama to catch flak from the media about his behavior during Jimmy Carter's funeral.
Michelle Obama's absence
Unfortunately for those grieving Jimmy Carter, Michelle Obama didn't seem to think that the death of a former president was much cause for concern. Reports indicate that Michelle Obama didn't make it to Jimmy Carter's funeral not because she had anything important to do, but because she was enjoying herself on vacation in Hawaii.
Both of the Obamas surprised Americans during Jimmy Carter's funeral. We'll have to see how long it us until the liberal media forgives them.
