A crazed Florida man has been arrested for threatening to kill President Trump just days after he survived an assassination attempt.

68-year-old Michael M. Wiseman was charged with written threats to kill. Wiseman lives in Jupiter, just a short drive from Trump's residence in Palm Beach.

Anti-Trump maniac arrested

Police in Jupiter were notified by members of the community about threats to Trump, his running mate J.D. Vance, and their families.

"JPD coordinated the investigation with the United States Secret Service and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office,” the department said. “JPD officers took Wiseman into custody without incident.”

Wiseman posted the disturbed threats in the days after a gunman nearly killed President Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Many on the right have blamed Democrats' political rhetoric for the assassination attempt, which remains under FBI investigation.

Some of Wiseman's comments echoed the unfounded conspiracy theory that Trump colluded with Russia.

"Trump and Vance should be murdered before turning us into West Russia," Wiseman wrote on Facebook.

Deranged threats

In a series of unhinged rants, Wiseman left no ambiguity about his political motivation.

As Republicans gathered in Milwaukee to nominate Trump and J.D. Vance for president and vice president, Wiseman made a series of unhinged posts calling for their deaths.

In one post, Wiseman wrote, "READY, AIM, FIRE. RINSE AND REPEAT," with an image of Trump in crosshairs, The Palm Beach Post reported.

Wiseman also asked why Trump is "allowed to be alive" and suggested that Trump's would-be assassin receive a Medal of Honor.

Secret Service director resigns

The director of Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, resigned Tuesday after an outcry over the agency's failure to protect Trump on July 13.

The agency has come under fire for failing to secure an obvious rooftop that the gunman used to fire at Trump and kill a rally attendee, Corey Comperatore.

"The Biden/Harris Administration did not properly protect me, and I was forced to take a bullet for Democracy. IT WAS MY GREAT HONOR TO DO SO!" Trump wrote in response to Cheatle's resignation.

Despite the abysmal failures that nearly cost Trump his life, President Biden effusively praised Cheatle for her service.

Prosecutors have asked the judge to keep Wiseman in jail, saying he poses a danger to the community. He is facing up to 15 years in prison.
