Robert F. Kennedy Jr. continues to try to remove his name from 2024 presidential ballots. 

The former independent presidential candidate, according to Just The News, is doing this in order to help out former President Donald Trump.

This comes after Kennedy ended his campaign and endorsed Trump. Now, Kennedy is even campaigning for Trump, and it appears very likely that, if Trump wins the election, Kennedy could be given a role in Trump's administration.

But, first things first, and that is getting Trump elected.

Kennedy makes a surprise move

Previously, Kennedy was only trying to get his name removed from ballots in swing states.

He reasoned that, in the other states, it does not really matter whether or not his supporters vote for him, over Trump or Kamala Harris, because, how those states will vote overall, is a foregone conclusion.

Now, however, Kennedy has changed course. He, in fact, is telling all of his supporters to vote for Trump regardless of whether his, Kennedy's, name is on their state's ballots.

In a fundraising email on Thursday, Kennedy wrote:

No matter what state you live in, I urge you to vote for Donald Trump. The reason is that is the only way we can get me and everything I stand for into Washington D.C. and fulfill the mission that motivated my campaign.

Not only that, but Kennedy is now pushing to have his name removed from even more states' ballots.

The latest on Kennedy's ballot removal efforts

Previously, there was only a group of about 10 swing states from whose ballots Kennedy was trying to get his name removed.

Now, this list has been expanded, according to Just the News, to include states that almost always vote Republican, such as South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

Unfortunately for Kennedy - and Trump - this effort to get his name removed from ballots has not been going as smoothly as they would have liked. Some states - perhaps realizing that the removal would help Trump and hurt Harris - are refusing to comply with Kennedy's request.

Kennedy, though, has been successful in other states. According to the New York Post, the latest states from whose ballots Kennedy has been removed are Michigan and North Carolina.

We'll have to see whether Kennedy has more success in other states, but time is running out. Although the election is not until early November, early voting, in some states, is about to commence.
