Rule change would allow Kamala Harris to become Democratic nominee before convention

Bloomberg reported this week that the Democratic Party is changing its rules so Vice President Kamala Harris can accept her party's nomination before next month's convention.

According to Breitbart columnist Wendell Husebo, the destruction of their nominating process is another sign that Democrats have contempt for Democracy.

Virtual roll call to take place before convention

Under the new rules, a virtual roll call would take place during the first week of August and ensure that Harris will be on top of the Democratic ticket before delegates arrive in Chicago.

Convention chairwoman Minyon Moore formerly served as White House political director under President Bill Clinton, and she defended the change.

Bloomberg quoted Moore as saying that the party "will not allow technicalities or MAGA extremists to disrupt the electoral process."

Dana Remus is an attorney at the law firm Covington & Burling, which represents the Democratic Party. She echoed Moore's position, arguing that any challenge to Harris would be "at best a distraction and a delay."

"Democrats will nullify about 14 million votes"

Husebo highlighted the news in an op-ed piece published on Wednesday, writing, "The shortened timeline underscores the Democrats’ disregard for the democratic process of selecting a candidate for president."

"By simply choosing Harris for the nomination, Democrats will nullify about 14 million votes cast during the Democrat primaries for President Joe Biden," he added.

Interestingly, Husebo may find agreement from former President Barack Obama, who is said to be upset over the rush by many Democrats to endorse Harris.

In a recent report put out by the New York Post, an unnamed source described as being close with the Biden family was quoted as saying the former president "knows she can't win."

Source says Obama sees Harris as being "just incompetent"

"Obama knows she's just incompetent — the border czar who never visited the border, saying that all migrants should have health insurance. She cannot navigate the landmines that are ahead of her," the source continued.

"When you are running for president there are things you can and can't say," the unnamed individual stressed. "Wait until the debate… She can't debate. She's going to put her foot in her mouth about Israel, Palestine, Ukraine."

"She's going to say something really stupid," the figure declared. "Obama knew this was going to happen, Joe knew this was going to happen. Now she is going to have to answer real questions."
