Senate Democrat says Biden's got to go
A Democratic member of the U.S. Senate just argued that President Joe Biden indeed ought to be leaving the White House, as Biden is in fact doing.
The surprising bit, of course, is that this line of reasoning actually came from U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), a staunch Democrat, who has, in the past, been an ardent supporter of Biden.
Wyden, according to Breitbart News, made the argument during an appearance last week on CNN's CNN This Morning.
It was one of several revelations from the upper chamber about Biden in recent days.
"Got to do something else"
During the interview, Wyden argued that it is time for Biden to go because he cannot do some of the basic things that every politician is required to do, such as "take unscripted questions."
Wyden said:
I’m having town hall meetings this weekend at home. I’ve had 1,100 of them. And I’ve said to my staff, the day that I can’t do these open to all town hall meetings, stand there, take unscripted questions for an hour and a half, I’ve got to do something else. And clearly, that was part of this. I think that the White House hadn’t had Joe Biden out there doing those kinds of sessions. And we saw the consequences.
At this point, the host asked Wyden whether he felt - prior to the infamous Trump-Biden debate - that Biden still had what it takes to be president.
In typical political fashion, Wyden gave a long-winded response.
He said:
During the first days of the term, we worked very closely together, and he was on the program. I wrote the biggest investment in fighting climate change in American history. … President Biden was with us every single step of the way. We said we’re going to reward people who reduce carbon. We’re going to have an effort to lower energy prices. It stood together. He was all in. But, clearly, after that big package went through in the first couple of years, I think he was not out on the trail as much, not in part of those spontaneous discussions, and it showed.
That's not all . . .
There have been some surprising things coming out of the Senate - particularly from the Democratic side - in recent days.
In addition to what Wyden had to say, it has also been revealed that, in the summer of 2024, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) tried to get Biden to drop out of the presidential race.
Schumer reportedly told Biden:
If you run and you lose to Trump, and we lose the Senate, and we don’t get back the House, that 50 years of amazing, beautiful work goes out the window. But worse — you go down in American history as one of the darkest figures. If I were you, I wouldn’t run, and I’m urging you not to run.
It has further been reported that Schumer met with Biden at the request of former President Barack Obama.
Whether we will ever get the entire truth about the Biden coverup and the Biden removal is uncertain.
