Sean “Diddy” Combs, the iconic rap star who is currently sitting in jail while prosecutors roll out an astonishingly long list of charges against him, has many A-list friends he's hosted over the years.

According to the New York Post, in efforts to avoid being named in any of the countless lawsuits Diddy will be named in the coming weeks and months, those A-lister pals of his are writing checks to victims as fast as they can.

A lawyer representing a staggering 120 people who are aiming to sue Diddy and his friends said he's giving those A-list buddies the opportunity to settle out of court.

The attorney, Tony Buzbee, told the outlet that some of Diddy's famous friends have already agreed to settle.

What's happening?

The settlements taking place, Buzbee suggested, are known celebrities.

“In every single case, especially cases like this… because it’s in the best interests of the victim, we attempt to resolve these matters without the filing of a public lawsuit and we’ve done that already with a handful of individuals, many of which you’re heard of before," Buzbee said.

The Post noted:

Buzbee will separately be lodging a slew of lawsuits – including on behalf of 25 minors – beginning this month. He has first sent out demand letters notifying others who will be sued in addition to Combs.

In fact, Buzbee said he’ll be “aggressively” going after anyone who saw the alleged abuse occurring and failed to act to protect victims.

Buzbee stressed the fact that he plans to go after those who were aware of what Diddy was doing in his home, especially to minors, and will aim to make them pay.

“If you were there in the room, participated, watched it happen and didn’t say anything or helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem," the attorney said .

He added, "A lot of people saw this activity going on, a lot of people allowed it to go on, said nothing, didn’t intervene… all of these individuals and entities have exposure."

Creating a "firestorm"

Rumors have swirled this week that several big names will be mentioned as those who have taken part in Diddy's disgusting sex parties and other activities at his residence.

Buzbee said that he and his team are doing their homework, and understand that releasing names will ultimately cause a "firestorm."

"Everyone is focused on what other celebrities were involved, who is going to be named, who is going to be outed. I don’t expect that to happen this week," he said.

"We want to make sure if we name individuals beyond Mr. Combs that we have done our homework because it is going to create a firestorm, and we understand that."
