Trump embraces speculation that Justin Trudeau is the son of Castro

Former President Donald Trump is stoking rumors that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is actually the son of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

In his new coffee table book Save America, Trump said he "got along very well" with Trudeau despite his "very liberal" politics, adding that he looks like and has the same "communist" politics as the Cuban dictator.

Trump on Trudeau's father

Trump referenced "beautiful and wild" Margaret Trudeau's association with the Rolling Stones and rumors that she had an affair with Castro in the 70s.

"His mother was beautiful and wild," he wrote. "In the 1970s, she would go 'clubbing' with the Rolling Stones, but she was also somehow associated with Fidel Castro. She said he was 'the sexiest man I’ve ever met,' and a lot of people say that Justin is his son."

Trump added that Justin Trudeau has "good hair" like Castro did and Trudeau "has become a communist."

"He swears that he isn’t, but how the hell would he know! Castro had good hair, the 'father' didn’t, Justin has good hair, and has become a Communist just like Castro," Trump wrote.

Fondness for tyrant

The Canadian government officially denied the theory about Trudeau's birth in 2018, which was also addressed by the AP. The outlet reported that Justin Trudeau was born nine months after his mother's marriage to former prime minister Pierre Trudeau, and four years before she visited Cuba in 1976.

Looking back on the trip decades later, Margaret Trudeau would describe Castro as a "warm and charming" man.

In 1977, Margaret and Pierre separated. At the time, Margaret fell under scrutiny for partying with the Rolling Stones at her hotel.

"We played dice until about five in the morning, in my hotel suite," she later recalled. "Smoked some dope, talked. It was a good night, and it was my new world. But no one knew I was separated from my husband yet, and it brought a huge scandal."

Justin Trudeau was once hailed as a rising star of the left. But he has lost popularity as Canada deals with a housing crisis fueled by mass immigration.

The prime minister has been called a tyrant for his stridently leftist governance, and especially for his famously repressive crackdown on COVID vaccine protests in 2021.

When Castro died in 2016, Justin Trudeau called the iron-fisted dictator a "remarkable leader."
