Trump rants epically about MSNBC while host Joy Reid cries over being fired by network

President Donald Trump said Sunday on Truth Social that leftist cable news network MSNBC should pay large sums of money to the American people because it is an "illegal" extension of the Democrat party, among other disparaging remarks he posted on the social media platform.

The epic rant was reminiscent of mean tweets by Trump during his first term, of which there have not been too many this time around.

"Unpardonable sin"

He slammed Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, and Al Sharpton, all hosts on the network. Reid was racist and untalented, Maddow almost as untalented as Reid, and Sharpton a "low IQ con-man."

He contended that the network had done grave damage to the country with its very existence and ended with, "Fake News is an unpardonable sin!"

It's true that MSNBC might as well be part of the Democrat party, but there's plenty of bias to go around in media these days.

It's unclear why Trump would waste his time skewering MSNBC when as he pointed out, barely anyone is watching its coverage anymore.

The non-traditional right-wing media has far more viewers, listeners and penetration than MSNBC does, so it seems to make more sense to just ignore it at this point.

No regrets

As Trump exulted over MSNBC's collapse and efforts to make itself even a little bit relevant, Joy Reid cried over her firing during a Zoom video call with the account Win for Black Women.

“I’m sorry,” Reid said through tears. “That what I was doing had value. And in the end, I’m sorry, I try not to cry on TV and this is kinda like me on TV, so I apologize."

She then said she didn't regret her criticism of Trump and apparently, her relentless focus on race issues.

She rambled incoherently,

What I will just say is, where I land is that the moment of guilt that I felt that I went hard on so many issues whether it was the Black Lives Matter issues of a young baby or a mom or dad that was killed or when we opened up people’s eyes to the fact that Asian Americans were being targeted, not just black folks, [or when we] went hard for immigrants who did nothing but come to this country like my parents did and try to make a life and defended them. Or whether we talked about what [President Donald Trump] is doing that is subversive to the Constitution, that is injurious to our liberty.

What a perfect example of why she was fired.
