Fox News reported that the White House had to be evacuated on Sunday after an unknown item was discovered on the premises.

A U.S. Secret Service spokesperson provided a statement to Fox News that read, "U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers located an unknown item on the White House complex."

Roads near White House blocked off

"As a precaution, the White House grounds were evacuated, and the DC Fire Departments Hazmat team responded," the spokesperson went on to add.

Additional reports emerged on social media stating that roads around the White House were being blocked off by authorities.

Meanwhile, the Post Millennial pointed to a leaked audio clip said to have come from the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (DC Fire EMS).

Audio leak suggests substance in question was cocaine hydrochloride

In it, people believed to be DC Fire EMS officials can be heard confirming that the substance in question turned out to be cocaine hydrochloride.

While cocaine hydrochloride is often used in preparation for oral surgery, the Post Millennial pointed out that it is also abused for recreational purposes.

The website Addiction Resources explains, "Cocaine hydrochloride is a powder used in drug abuse or as a local anesthetic. Abusing cocaine hydrochloride can result in adverse side effects and risks.

One observer floats possibility that drugs may have been left by Hunter Biden

"Cocaine can be processed to produce three different forms of the drug: cocaine hydrochloride, freebase cocaine, and crack cocaine," it goes on to add.

This led PJ Media writer Matt Margolis to suggest that Hunter Biden may be involved in the incident, stressing how he "was recently at the White House for a state dinner."

Biden has had a long and well publicized history of drug abuse, a fact which was documented in videos and pictures found on his abandoned laptop.

What's more, the president's son recently entered into a plea deal for illegally purchasing a firearm while addicted to crack.
