Azhery Ty Bryan, perhaps best known for his role in the 1990s sit-com Home Improvement, has been arrested.

Breitbart News reports that Bryan, who played Tim "the tollman Taylor's" oldest son, was arrested on Friday on domestic violence charges.

This, as we will see, is not Bryan's first arrest. In fact, it is not even his second.

At the time of this writing, Bryan has been released from jail.

The details:

The arrest was first reported by TMZ.

Per the outlet:

In addition to the punches, the victim alleged that Bryan choked her to the point of cutting off her ability to breathe. The woman also claimed that Bryan threatened to kill her.

The alleged victim has not been named, but it is a woman with whom Bryan shares a child. Multiple allegations like this have been made against Bryan in recent years.

Bryan was released from jail for his latest arrest on Friday night. This came after he spent some at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County. To be released, he was required to pay a $10,000 bond.

Background

Bryan has been arrested on multiple occasions in recent years.

Breitbart reports:

In July 2023, he was arrested after authorities in Eugene, Oregon, were called regarding a physical domestic dispute between Bryan and an unnamed woman, as Breitbart News reported. He was then charged with two counts of assault in the fourth degree. One charge was later dismissed as part of a negotiated resolution. Bryan only had to serve seven days in jail instead of 19 to 20 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections.

The outlet goes on to report that Bryan was also arrested in 2020.

Breitbart writes:

Bryan was previously arrested in 2020 and entered a guilty plea stemming from an altercation with girlfriend Johnnie Faye Cartwright, where he allegedly tried to strangle her at their apartment in Eugene, Oregon.

Bryan is now facing second-degree domestic violence charges. This means that he could spend up to three years in prison and/or he could be fined $2,500 to 5,000 dollars. Bryan, at the time of this writing, has not released a statement on the matter.
