Outgoing FBI Director Wray confirms China has embedded in U.S. infrastructure systems

Under President Joe Biden and Democrats in general, the FBI has suffered a series of unfortunate PR disasters, especially as the agency, according to some, was politically "weaponized."

According to Breitbart, outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray dropped an absolute bombshell on his way out of the door regarding China and how far its tentacles have reached into the U.S. infrastructure backbone.

Just a week before he formally leaves his position at the head of the federal law enforcement agency, Wray, during an interview, revealed that China "has penetrated America’s water treatment plants, electric grid, and other critical civilian infrastructure."

Even more scary is that Wray admitted that China is lying "in wait" to launch what would likely be a devastating cyberattack that could cripple the nation.

What did he say?

Wray made the shocking admissions Sunday during CBS's "60 Minutes," explaining that China's cyberwarfare program is the largest in the world "and has stolen more of Americans’ personal and corporate data than every nation combined."

While much of China's cyber program is focused on theft, Wray cautioned that perhaps the most dangerous aspect of the communist nation's program is the penetration of U.S. infrastructure.

"But even beyond the cyber theft. There’s another part of the Chinese cyber threat that I think has not gotten the attention publicly that it I think desperately deserves. And that is Chinese government’s pre-positioning on American civilian critical infrastructure."

She added, "To lie in wait on those networks to be in a position to wreak havoc and can inflict real-world harm at a time and place of their choosing."

The outgoing FBI director added some detail as to how serious the situation is, noting previously that the threat deserves much more attention than it's currently receiving.

"Things like water treatment plants," Wray said. "We’re talking about transportation systems. We’re talking about targeting of our energy sector, the electric grid, natural gas pipelines. And recently we’ve seen targeting of our telecommunications systems."

Communications theft

It was reported that China has listened to American phone calls, having obtained communications from high levels of U.S. government.

Breitbart noted:

China "gathered communications of U.S. national security officials, as well as the Kamala Harris campaign and President-Elect Donald Trump himself.

Former Trump officials have slammed President Biden and the FBI for allowing it to happen on their watch, when all the tools to defeat such penetrations were available for use the past four years.

Hopefully, incoming President Trump will be able to confront the situation and mitigate the damage caused under Biden's watch.
