Most Americans can't name even one of Biden's successes: poll
A new poll has found that the majority of Americans - 54% - are actually unable to name even a single thing that can be considered a Biden administration success.
This, of course, is not how a president wants to be leaving the White House, but it is exactly how Biden is.
The poll comes from the Daily Mail.
It surveyed some 1,009 registered voters, asking them, among other things, if they are able to name a Biden administration success.
Not really...
What the poll found is that a clear plurality - 37% - indicated that the "strongly agree" with the statement that they cannot name a single success by the Biden administration. Another 17% said that they "somewhat agree" with the statement.
On the other hand, only 18% said that they "strongly disagree" with the statement that they cannot name a single Biden success. Only 8% "somewhat agreed with it." 15% road the fence, and 5% were unsure.
The Daily Mail reports:
Even Democrats struggle. More than a third said they could not name a single achievement. The results echo an earlier poll, which found that voters ranked Biden as the least successful of recent president.
The outlet went on to describe the poll results as something that actually "unites" our politically divided country.
It also described the results as "extraordinary."
Is it really that surprising?
Chances are that none of the readers of this site is really that surprised by the poll results. If anything, you might be surprised to learn that there actually are people out there who claim that they can name a Biden administration success.
Biden, according to Real Clear Politics, exits the White House with a job approval rating of only 39.4%. With a disapproval rating of 56.1%, this means that Biden sits 16.7 percentage points under water.
In addition to this, Biden, on average, is about 20 percentage points underwater on every major political issue, from the economy to foreign policy to immigration to inflation to crime to many others.
Trump, on the other hand, is entering the White House with a net favorability rating of plus 0.3 percentage points. Now, this might not seem like a big deal, but it is - as Trump has almost always been in the red with regard to favorability.
Now, all Trump has to do is follow through on many of his campaign promises and the chances are that his favorability rating will continue to rise. No matter what Trump does, however, he will always have his detractors.
