Appeals court reinstates two Trump orders targeting DEI

In 2024, while campaigning for the White House, Donald Trump told all of America exactly what he wanted to do to Make America Great Again, again. However, once he took office and tried to carry out the will of the American people, legal challenges started popping up all over in an attempt to prevent him from doing just that.

Luckily, Trump is a fighter, so he didn't just roll over and let liberals cancel his orders. He kept pushing for what he believed in, and his hard work and determination just paid off.

According to Fox News, an appeals court ruled on March 14 to lift an injunction that had previously blocked Donald Trump's recent executive orders eliminating federal support for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs in America.

It's a huge win for people in America who believe that the best candidates should get the job, and hiring practices shouldn't be based on skin color, race, or gender.

The executive orders in question

Shortly after taking office in 2025, Donald Trump made it clear that DEI programs in this country do not accomplish what they intend to, and instead just waste the country's time and money.

As a result, he signed multiple executive orders taking aim at eliminating federal funding for various DEI programs.

Federal agencies were ordered to terminate grants and contracts related to DEI, as well as require federal contractors to not promote DEI.

Trump said that his executive orders would eliminate wasteful spending and put taxpayer dollars to better use, which is exactly what so many Americans voted him into office to do.

Unfortunately for believers in common sense, the orders faced legal questions almost immediately:

A judge from Baltimore, US District Judge Adam Abelson, blocked Trump's executive orders.

Appeals court steps in

Trump's big win came on Friday, March 14, 2025, when a three-judge panel from the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decided to reverse Abelson's decision, which lifted the injunction that had been blocking Trump's executive orders against DEI from taking effect.

There are still pending legal cases around the executive orders, so they will not become law just yet, but this is a major step forward for Donald Trump and his administration.

Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and other liberals framed DEI programs as giving underprivileged people the shot at success they deserve.

Unfortunately, that's not what these programs do.

Instead, they waste taxpayer money without accomplishing their goals, which is the exact type of thing America hired Donald Trump to eliminate.
