Fox News has reported that British reality television star Sharon Osbourne was recently sent home after being rushed to a hospital in Santa Paula, California. 

The news network cited a social media post regarding the incident from Osbourne's 37-year-old son and fellow television personality Jack Osbourne.

Osbourne's son thanks fans

Mr. Osbourne explained on Instagram that his mother had experienced a medical emergency last Friday evening while filming an episode of the Travel Channel series "The Osbournes: Night of Terror."

Jack Osbourne began by denying preliminary reports that the emergency had taken place while his mother was participating in an episode of "Ghost Adventurers," which also airs on the Travel Channel.

He then spoke about her condition, saying, "She has been given the all clear from her medical team and is now home. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support."

Jack Osbourne went on to say that his mother would provide more details about what happened at a later date, saying, "I'm gonna leave it to her to share about it when she's ready."

Hospitalization

Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar confirmed to Fox News that Sharon Osbourne had indeed been hospitalized over a medical emergency.

Meanwhile, Ventura County Fire Department told the network that its personnel responded to a "medical call" at Glen Tavern. For it's part, Glen Tavern refused to provide Fox News with a comment.

Fox News noted that in addition to "The Osbournes: Night of Terror," and "Ghost Adventurers," Sharon Osbourne also appears on the Travel Channel series "The Osbournes Want to Believe."

Sharon Osbourne is the long-time wife and manager of British heavy metal musician Ozzy Osbourne. Mrs. Osbourne rose to mainstream prominence when she appeared two decades ago alongside her husband on MTV reality show "The Osbournes."

Calls to cancel Osbourne

In September, Mrs. Osbourne spoke with Fox Nation about efforts to cancel her after she defended British commentator Piers Morgan for alleging that Meghan Markle had lied about being mistreated by the royal family.

"Piers [Morgan] felt that Meghan was making up stories. He was branded a racist. And because I supported him, I was branded a racist," she explained.

Osbourne left her role on CBS' "The Talk" following a heated exchange with fellow co-host Sheryl Underwood over Markle's comments.

"It was unfathomable that that happened on 'The Talk,'" former co-host Carrie Ann Inaba told Fox Nation. "No one should have ever gone through what she went through that day."
