Manhattan's communist district attorney Alvin Bragg is steadily solidifying a reputation as one of the most unscrupulous prosecutors in the country - a man who uses the law as a weapon rather than a shield for the innocent.

The George Soros-backed prosecutor continues to torch his credibility with another politically charged prosecution, this time targeting a police officer who confronted one of New York City's emboldened whack jobs. 

Bragg is already under fire for trying to crush Donald Trump with pretextual "hush money" charges, as well as prosecuting Daniel Penny, the courageous former Marine facing manslaughter charges for confronting a dangerous homeless man on the subway.

The latest victim of Bragg's weaponized justice is NYPD cop Salvatore Provenzano. The officer used force against an erratic man who refused to leave an Apple store.

Bragg's latest crusade

The incident happened in October 2021. The officer had punched the man, who was the target of a criminal complaint that very day.

But it's Provenzano who is facing up to a year in prison, for third-degree assault. He was offered a plea deal but rejected it.

Provenzano is also suspended without pay.

A security guard who witnessed the incident said the cop "did nothing wrong" - not that it matters to the city's lawless leaders.

“The perp gave him an elbow to the side of the head, I don’t know if it connected. They put him on the ground and arrested him,” witness Brian Plunkett said. “The cop is being railroaded.”

Weaponizing justice

No doubt, Bragg's latest prosecution will further demoralize the city's embattled police officers and send a message to any would-be Good Samaritans to mind their business.

“He’s sending a message here today, [Manhattan District Attorney Alvin] Bragg, that he’s going to arrest our police officers for doing their jobs,” the city's police union said. “He’s not on the side of the people. He’s not on the side of the police officers. He’s on the side of the repeat offenders.”

As Bragg continues to target political opponents, the city is setting up self-help kiosks to discourage shoplifters and paying out millions in extortion money to Black Lives Matter thugs who terrorized the city three summers ago.

The weaponization of justice in this country must come to an end - or America as we know it is finished.
