Biden Calls For Assault Weapon Ban

President Biden wants to take your guns. Only, he's not calling it that.

He's phrasing it that he wants Republicans "to come to the table" over gun control.

We know what that means, Joe.

An uptick in violence across America gave Joe Biden just the opportunity he needed to stand on the bodies of the deceased once again and try to push the liberal agenda.

On what was supposed to be a day of celebrating our freedoms and independence from oppressive government, Joe Biden reminded us that we may not be as free as we really think.

"Today, Jill and I grieve for those who have lost their lives and, as our nation celebrates Independence Day, we pray for the day when our communities will be free from gun violence," Joe said on July 4.

"Just think back to where this nation was a year ago. Think back to where you were a year ago. And think about how far we’ve come," Biden said.

I'm not sure exactly what progress Joe Biden thinks he's pointing out.

I don't think he's tried to buy gasoline or a house lately. He certainly isn't the one doing his own grocery shopping, so he probably doesn't realize that each trip to the corner store for milk and eggs has us a few pennies away from the poor house.

Biden called areas of the country that already have restrictive gun laws places of great "achievement."

"Their achievement will save lives, but it will not erase their grief. It will not bring back the seven Americans killed in Highland Park or heal the injuries and trauma that scores of others will continue to carry."

He called the rest of the country to model its gun laws after Illinois. Chicago is in Illinois. Chicago is perhaps the deadliest place in America.

What doesn't he understand?

He continued with his speech anyway:

"My fellow Americans, now we’re the guardians of that very idea of America. It’s up to us to save it, to preserve it, to build on it, and I know we will."

"We just have to remember who we are: We are the United States of America, and there’s nothing — nothing we can’t do if we do it together," Joe concluded. "Folks, happy Fourth of July, America. God bless you all. And may God protect our troops. Thank you, thank you, thank you."

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
