President Joe Biden will arrive in New York City on Thursday to participate in a campaign fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall, what appears to be a mad scramble to fend off the current president's unpopularity.

The event will feature a number of famous artists, including former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, as well as other notable figures, as NY Daily News reported.

There will be a performance by the pop phenomenon Lizzo, the jazzy rap diva Queen Latifah, and the Broadway performer Ben Platt.

Following the performance, the three Democratic powerhouses will sit down for a talk that will be chaired by the late-night comedian Stephen Colbert.

The First Lady's Part

Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States, will be the one to kick off the gala event, and several contributors will have the opportunity to have the renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz take their picture with the three presidents.

It is anticipated that the event would attract thousands of donors, both large and small, to the renowned theater in Midtown Manhattan.

This event is considered to be the most significant fundraising event that has occurred during the presidential campaign up to this point.

Biden's Race Status

Since Biden has announced that he has officially secured the Democratic nomination and former President Donald Trump has secured the Republican candidacy, Biden's campaign has shifted into a higher gear.

They are now scheduled to compete against one another in a repeat of their 2020 election in November, despite the fact that the majority of Americans have stated that they would have preferred other candidates to run.

Early polls show that Biden and Trump will be going head to head in what will likely be another hotly contested race. That would likely be a mirror of what took place in the 2020 presidential election where after much anticipation, Biden was named the winner.

Trump and Biden go Head to Head

The majority of surveys indicate that Trump has a slight advantage in the majority of the swing states that will determine the outcome of the election.

However, Biden and the Democrats have seen a significant uptick in pre-convention fundraising, and they are attempting to increase that lead by holding high-stakes events such as the one that took place on Thursday.

As of the end of February, the Democratic National Committee announced that they had approximately one hundred million dollars in the bank.

This is reported to be more than twice as much as the Republican war fund.
