DHS Sec. Noem launches worldwide ad campaign warning illegal aliens they are not welcome in U.S.
Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem is fully supportive of President Donald Trump's efforts to crack down on illegal immigration, and she is now letting migrants worldwide know that there are consequences for illicit entry into the U.S., especially for those who commit additional crimes or have pre-existing criminal records.
This week, the Department of Homeland Security unveiled a new $200 million ad campaign featuring Noem delivering that bombshell message of zero tolerance for illegal aliens, the Daily Mail reported.
Of course, critics will inevitably find something to complain about, such as the cost of the ads or the supposed cruelty of the message, but the costs have been deemed justified and the tough stance necessary following the past four years of exceedingly lax enforcement of border security and immigration laws under the prior administration.
Noem has a warning for illegal aliens
On Monday, Sec. Noem wrote in an X post, "Tonight, I’m announcing a nationwide and international multimillion-dollar ad campaign warning illegal aliens to leave our country NOW or face deportation with the inability to return to the US."
"This serves as a strong warning to criminal illegal aliens to not come to America. If they do, they will be hunted down and deported," she added. "Thank you @realdonaldtrump for securing our border and putting America first."

Domestic and international ad campaign
Included in that X post was one of two similar but slightly different ads produced for domestic and international audiences, according to a DHS press release on Monday to announce the new ad campaign.
Those ads will be run on broadcast TV, in digital media, and on the radio, in multiple countries and translated into a variety of different languages. The ads will also be "hyper-targeted" through mediums like "social media, text message, and digital" to ensure that they are seen by millions of illegal aliens who currently reside in the nation's interior.
In the ads, Noem first introduces herself and thanks President Trump for his efforts at "securing our border and putting America first."
"President Trump has a clear message: if you are here illegally, we will find you and deport you. You will never return," the secretary said. "But if you leave now, you may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American Dream."
At another point in the minute-long ads, Noem stressed, "If you are a criminal alien considering entering America illegally: Don’t even think about it. If you come here and break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States."
Leaked documents reveal $200 million contract for DHS ads
According to Semafor, which somehow obtained internal DHS documents, the department has budgeted up to $200 million over two years for the nationwide and international ad campaign featuring Sec. Noem and her unmistakable warning for illegal aliens already in the U.S. or contemplating entering the country illicitly.
At least two vendors were awarded contracts to help produce the ads, including the Louisiana-based People Who Think LLC and the Virginia-based Safe America Media LLC, though it is unclear exactly how much each company received or what their precise roles were in creating the ads.
An unnamed DHS spokesperson told Semafor that "multiple career government officials" had oversight of the "competitive procurement process" for the contracted "media services," and seemed to justify the cost as completely necessary by adding, "The fact that millions of illegal aliens, including tens of thousands of criminal aliens, are in our country is an urgent threat to the safety of Americans, our homeland, and national security."
