The latest legal move taken by Hunter Biden - the embattled son of President Joe Biden - completely destroys the political left's recent attacks on the U.S. Supreme Court as well as on Florida Judge Aileen Cannon. 

This is because Hunter Biden, according to Newsweek, is now citing the Supreme Court in an attempt to have his criminal cases thrown out.

Biden, in fact, cited a decision written by none other than Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as well as the recent decision written by Cannon.

These are the same two judges whom the left has been relentlessly attacking as of late. The irony is that the left has attacked them for the very decisions that Hunter Biden has now cited.

Here's what's going on:

This past week, Hunter Biden's legal team filed motions in his cases, and, in these motions, Biden cited both Thomas's and Cannon's decision. In fact, Biden insisted that these decisions were correct.

Newsweek reports:

On Thursday, Biden's lawyers filed a pair of motions pointing to Judge Aileen Cannon's recent dismissal of Donald Trump's classified documents case and arguing that her decision was supported by Thomas' opinion in the Supreme Court's presidential immunity case. The Court's July 1 decision said that former presidents have broad immunity from criminal prosecution.

The outlet then goes on to quote the motions that were submitted.

"Guided by Justice Thomas' opinion, Judge Cannon dismissed an indictment against President Trump earlier this week because the Special Counsel was unconstitutionally appointed," Biden's attorney wrote.

He added, "Based on these new legal developments, Mr. Biden moves to dismiss the indictment brought against him because the Special Counsel who initiated this prosecution was appointed in violation of the Appointments Clause as well."

So much for the fear-mongering

The Democrats have been waging a relentless war against both Cannon and Thomas following their recent decisions.

The general claim is that these were pro-Trump, anti-Democrat decisions made by pro-Trump judges.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), for example, said, "This is further evidence that Judge Cannon cannot handle this case impartially and must be reassigned." There have also been calls for Thomas' removal, including from far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

But, now, it is Hunter Biden, of all people, who is showing the political left that it is simply wrong about its criticism of these decisions.

After all, if they are pro-Trump, anti-Democrat decisions made by pro-Trump judges, then how can they be used by a Democrat?
