It's not been a good week for liberals around the globe.

First, Donald Trump absolutely DESTROYED Joe Biden in America's first presidential debate, making left-wingers look like losers around the world.

Now, it's being reported that Dr. Syed Husin bin Ali has passed away at the age of 87.

According to malaymail.com, Syed Husin Ali was 88-uears-old when he died at a hospital on June 29.

An important life

In case you've never heard of Dr. Syed Husin bin Ali before, the general gist is that he is an accomplished and important man. He's served as a politician in Malaysia, and was one of the world's highest profile detainees when he was held for SIX YEARS without trial because of Malarsia's Internal Security Act.

Dr. Syed Husin bin Ali was imprisoned from 1974 to 1980.

Prison sentence

Despite NEVER receiving a trial, Syed Husin bin Ali was detained and tortured back in 1974. During the torture, he was ordered to confess to being an agent of the Communist Party of Malaya. According to Wikipedia, "he was also asked to implicate members of the Malaysian government but Syed Husin declined to provide his interrogators with a false confession."

After getting out of prison, he decided to use his name value to make a difference.

Political beginnings, 1990

Dr. Syed Husin bin Ali knew that the fact that he was imprisoned for six years without a trial was completely unfair, so he turned to a life of politics in an attempt to do what he thought was right. In 1990, he was elected as the president of "Parti Rakyat Malaysia, which was rebranding once again at the time and dropped the 'socialist' tag from its name."

Because of this election, Syed Husin Ali was asked to leave his job as a professor in the anthropology department at the University of Malaya.

1975 Amendments in the country "to the University and University Colleges Act that barred lecturers and students from active party politics to force him out of academic life."

Dr. Syed Husin bin Ali was admitted to the hospital in late June, and eventually passed away on June 29, 2024. Even if you don't agree with all of his politics, you can't disagree with how important this man was on a worldwide level. Rest in peace, Dr. Syed Husin bin Ali.
