Local business owners are warning Americans that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) is bad news.

The business owners sounded the alarm in a recent interview that they did with Fox News Digital.

This comes after Walz has been chosen to be Vice President Kamala Harris's running mate in the 2024 presidential election.

Since the announcement, Walz's record has been examined, and suffice it to say that it is failing to hold up to scrutiny.

"It's been a nightmare"

The local Minnesota business owners, with whom Fox spoke, had a clear message for the rest of America, namely, that, if you vote Walz and Harris into office, bad consequences will follow. They supported this claim with their own personal experiences in Minnesota under Walz's regime.

One of these business owners, referred to by Fox as Cheryl, claimed that Walz is "really against small businesses."

"Our business has totally been affected by Walz. Since Walz has been in, it's kind of been a nightmare. It just appears that he's really against small businesses," Cheryl said.

Cheryl particularly called attention to a law that was signed into effect by Walz in 2023. The law, according to Fox, "allows employees to earn a maximum of 48 hours each year of paid time off for a variety of reasons."

Cheryl told Fox that this law, among others, has made it "challenging" to run a small business in Minnesota.

There's more

Other local business owners with whom Fox spoke also expressed frustration about the paid time off law. Others called attention to the way Walz's coronavirus policies hurt their businesses.

A building contractor named Joe, for example, told the outlet, "The biggest thing was the shutdowns. The construction trade was seen as an essential business, so I guess I wasn't shut down, but because it really affected my work, because people I know weren't able to afford to hire me to do stuff."

Fox, in its interview with these business owners, also asked them what they believe, based on their experience under Walz's regime, a Harris-Walz administration would look like.

Fox reports, "The residents all suggested that it would 'be really bad for the U.S.'"

Cheryl, for example, told the outlet:

His policies are going to be the same. So if you take those policies and apply them. As a nation it would not be good. You just can't look at where we stand as a state, and it's like wow, how can you bring something down that fast.
