Trump praises Vivek Ramaswamy in possible VP hint
Polling data strongly suggests that former President Donald Trump is well-positioned to win the Republican Party's primary race.
What's far less clear is who his vice presidential pick might be. Yet as Epoch Times contributor Caden Pearson recently noted, Trump may have just dropped a hint.
"I have to like a guy like that"
Pearson pointed to an interview Trump had this week with conservative media personality Glenn Beck, who at one point asked if he would consider making businessman Vivek Ramaswamy his running mate.
"Well, I think he’s great. Look, anybody that said I’m the best president in a generation … I have to like a guy like that," Trump replied.
"He’s a smart guy. He’s a young guy. He’s got a lot of talent. He’s a very, very, very intelligent person," the GOP frontrunner went on to declare.
Trump on Vivek for VP — I think He’s Great 👀
Trump said he’d be watching the debate for a VP & if he would pick Vivek Ramaswamy.

Poll puts Ramaswamy in third place
"He’s got good energy, and he could be in some form of something. I tell ya, I think he’d be very good. I think he’s really distinguished himself," Trump stressed.
Ramaswamy was among those who participated in a debate broadcast by Fox News last week and he has been gaining ground in the polls.
That's evident from a Morning Consult survey carried out between August 25 and August 27. It found Ramaswamy was supported by 10% of likely Republican primary voters.

That gave him a third place showing, behind only Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis at 14% and Trump himself at 58%.
Almost three quarters of primary voters said Ramaswamy did well in debate
Another Morning Consult poll found that 72% of GOP primary voters who watched the debate felt Ramaswamy did either "very" or "somewhat" well.
More than 7 in 10 potential primary voters who tuned into the Aug. 23 GOP debate broadcast said Ramaswamy performed “very” or “somewhat” well — higher than the 65% who said the same of DeSantis or the 64% who said the same of Nikki Haley. https://t.co/y8DbvBmek3 pic.twitter.com/DoEZ8h7m1O

In contrast, only 65% expressed the same sentiments about DeSantis' performance while 64% offered a similar assessment of former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.
