The New York Post reports that the state bar association of California has opened up an ethics investigation into Hunter Biden's so-called "sugar brother."  

The referred-to individual is Attorney Keven Morris.

For those unfamiliar with Morris, the Post reports:

Morris, a fervent Democratic party supporter and Hollywood power broker best known for financially launching “South Park,” has become known as Hunter’s “sugar brother” for the money he has funneled to him, and the help he has given him.

It is alleged, for example, that Morris gave Biden $2 million to pay off overdue federal taxes. But, on top of this, the Post reports that Morris has "helped [Biden] market and sell some of his artwork, [has flown] him around on his private jet, and has acted as his fixer for Hunter’s myriad legal battles."

Why is Morris being investigated?

The answer has to do with the movie My Son Hunter. 

Breitbart News reports:

My Son Hunter is a film that chronicles Hunter Biden as he navigates a tangled web of prostitution, partying, business dealings, drugs, sex, Chinese spies, Ukrainian oligarchs, and his responsibilities to the leader of the free world.

It is producer Phelim McAleer who has filed the ethics complaint with the California State Bar against Morris. McAleer alleges that Morris failed to disclose that he was Hunter Biden's legal representative when Morris appeared on the movie's set.

This could be a violation of California's ethics rules for attorneys. And, if it is, Morris could face investigation or prosecution for the incident.

At the time of this writing, however, Morris remains in good standing with the California bar. Morris has yet to comment on the situation.

The Post reports that Morris, in addition to the ethics complaint, has found himself in more legal troubles.

Per the outlet:

And in a separate development, on Friday it will be Morris’ turn to be in the legal spotlight. A conservative group which has publicized the contents of Hunter’s laptop is suing Morris in a California court to try and shut down his own lawsuit against it, accusing him of an attack on their free speech.

It is worth emphasizing that this all would appear to stem from Morris's relationship with Hunter Biden.

This, of course, begs the question, "Why?" - Why has Morris associated with Hunter Biden? What has Morris received from the association?

The answer to these questions is unclear. But, given what we now know about Hunter Biden, there is probably a lot more going on here than initially meets the eye.
